Discover this hands-on Advanced Fundus Assessment Skills Trainer to enhance obstetric training. It is a great piece of educational equipment for midwifery students, medical students and obs and gynae doctors. 

Students can acquire multiple skills such as: 

• Postpartum uterine fundus evaluation  
• Fundus massage 
• Injection administration 

The trainer comes with six interchangeable uterus models: 

• Normal uterus 
• Postpartum uterus of the first hour 
• Postpartum uterus of the second day 
• Postpartum uterus of the second week 
• Callous uterus with good contraction 
• Soft uterus without good contraction 

Students will need to position the model (the hip joint is movable), part the labium minus and expose the vagina. They will need to palpate anatomical landmarks such as the pubic symphysis to locate the fundus. 

Students can then perform a fundal assessment in a safe and non-pressured learning environment. They can discover how normal and abnormal fundus presentations feel as well as the changes to fundal height over time.  

Students can also practice performing a fundal massage, an important clinical skill. Trainers can then use the model to guide teaching sessions about adverse events such as post-partum haemorrhage. These topics are important to learn about away from the pressure of the busy labour ward. 

Finally, injection pads can be found in both articulating upper thighs.
