Developed as a learning tool for both male catheter simulation and anatomical study, this transparent male catheterisation trainer allows viewing and practice of the proper insertion, position, and inflation of a balloon catheter. The pelvis is built-in so students can learn the catheter angle according to the bladder's position.
When practicing catheter insertion, the user will experience resistance and pressure similar to that of a real patient. The inside of bladder is observable and simulated urine (water) actually flows when catheter is inserted properly. For added realism, external genitalia is made of a special soft material to simulate real tissue.
The Transparent Male Catheter Model package includes irrigator, irrigator stand, and case.
